Coconut oil for your hair

Everyone is aware of the benefit of coconut oil, so I bought it (it was cheap) and used it. The first time I used it, I smelled like a coconut and after two hours I could not take a coconut head anymore. So I did not used it anymore, but continued to complain about my hair. I am in a very humid climate and my curly hair is just not adjusting. Yesterday I decided to add a few drops of oil on my hair after a shower and ... Well you see what happened in the pictures. Black shirt first day, blue scarf day two. So what do you think? Have you used coconut oil for your hair? What was your results?
